I have a 700LTR .308. Currently it sports a Leupold turn in style mount and a Nikon 1" tube 4.5-14 Buckmasters 40AO scope. I am planning on getting a Mark 4 in the near future and would like to mount it on a tapered picattiny base such as Near or Farrell. Problem is that I tried this with the current scope and could not get the scope low enough to get a decent cheek weld on the "conventional" LTR/HS Precision stock - The Farrell base itself was very high. So my question is does anyone know of a picatinny rail/ring setup that will allow me to mount a scope on my ordinary 700LTR such that I can look through the scope without lifting my head right off the stock or having to buy an additional cheekrest? I'd appreciate any input.
Thanks.
Thanks.
