Hey folks, question. Looking to buy a used Tikka T3 from a fellow I know... and he has sent me photos of the rifle. Looks all legit, has the TRG style barrel and thread cap/protector, the stock, etc etc.
HOWEVER, the one thing that bothers me: In the photos, the Receiver and the Barrel appear to be "silver"-ish in hue... a Matte Silver.
So I asked him: "is it just the flash, and the barrel really black? or is it silver?"
He replies with: "Yea its a matte silver colour"
I have NEVER seen a matte silver Tikka T3 TACTICAL (Tik Tac)...
Am I wrong? Is he maybe just thinking its "silver" under the light, but really its phosphate/anodized black?
EXTRA: I have the serial number of the rifle... but I have NO way of looking it up to see if it was a factory Tik Tac... any ideas how to do that?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOLKS!
