Well, it is that time of year that folks are starting to get revved up for the 2016 Moose season. I see the Moose King contest has already started (thanks Ardent) so I thought I would put up a few pics that, to me, capture the essence of a good moose hunt. These are not trophy pics but ones that you look at and say "I've been there" or "I know how that look feels".
I'll start with a couple that are high on my personal list but post 'em if you got 'em.

This first one says a lot. Hunting partner of many, many years, successful hunt, Grumman canoe, floating sawblade grass that you fall through down to your nuts, an ugly location to put down a bull and the first of a few trips to get the meat back to camp.
And what would an October moose hunt in Northern Ontario be without a little snow to make the disassembly process easier. My buddy in the orange toque was excited about his Bull, less so about the conditions and impending extraction.
