I've never had a "yen" for a super short barrelled carbine. I did think the Rossi ranch hand was a cool stile of gun and so I bought one and replaced only the sights.

Now I can hunt with a handgun in Alberta. (you may follow the CFS classification and call it a "short long gun" if you like but to me, it full fills my definition of a handgun)

Precision stock has arrived. Just slipped it in place, fit is good , a little final fitting is required, no problem. Butt is crescent with a tab on top, have to source some brass or form one from 1/8 " steel. Leaning towards brass. Makes the gun 29" long. One handy little 44 mag carbine for camp or truck.

wow now this is sweet !!! Ok so what is this worth new? used?

Some online for $ 549 to $ 599. Stock was $ 90 to my door from Precision in Texas. Great service from them. Got a butt pad yesterday, will prob shorten the stock a bit yet. Trial and error, may take off a couple of inches, hard to put it back on if it's too short.

Ranch Hand almost finished. LOP 12 1/4 " Overall length 28 1/2 " Skinner ghost ring. Shoulders very well, sights are good even with bi-focals. The lever size will be reduced next. A little too big so a little cut, reshape and tig like another one posted on here. Love this place, good ideas but hurt the wallet.
