are you trying to stir the pot or are you just stupid? what part of "you shouldn't be killing animals for no reason" didn't you understand? i'd think an animal destroying your property or digging holes that could break the legs of livestock are good REASONS for killing animals. i'm the moron, yet you can't tell the difference between killing for fun and killing for food/protecting property?
maybe it's time to start reading and understanding what you quote before making yourself look like an idiot?
Possibly sir you should be more specific in your posts........If you don't own land and yet still obtain permission to shoot gophers and ground hogs, are you killing for fun or are you protecting the livestock by proxy.......it's neither your livestock nor your land. Maybe it would be a lot more honest if we all just admitted we shoot gophers 'cause it's FUN and we are doing the land and livestock a favor. By your statement then we must assume that only landowners with livestock and/or crops should be shooting gophers and groundhogs and badgers and magpies and crows and pigeons, 'cause it's their moral and ethical duty but the rest of us who don't own land or livestock are just kill crazy psycos..........and I'm the idiot?
Of course I can tell the difference between killing for protection of property and killing for fun, I'm just not afraid to say that I enjoy a nice early summer day shooting gophers. And guess what that doesn't make me a psyco, it makes me a NORMAL red blooded Canadian male who grew up shooting gophers and badgers with a 22 and still enjoy it, as do both my boys, and I'll be damned if I'll let anyone tell me that this activity is the precursor to psycopathy. If it's the precursor of anything, it's a good shot!!!!!!!
And just so you can REALLY get your little girl panties knotted up, I hunt animals all over the world, and I hunt them for enjoyment and sport. I don't need the meat and they generally aren't harming anyone's property and I make no apologies for it. It is a legitimate sport, all done within the laws of the countries in which I hunt, and I kill for the fun and challenge and to collect trophies. I sir, have endured harships that you will never face, challenges that you would never dream of and dangers that literally raise the hair on your arms in the pusuit of my hunting dreams. If this makes me psycopathic then I am in good company with the likes of PO Ackley, Elmer Keith, Theodore Roosevelt, WDM Bell, John Taylor, Ernest Hemmingway, Wilbur Smith, Rashid Jamseed, Prince Palavi, Roy Weatherby, Joyce Hornaday, HRH Queen Elisabeth II, Robert Ruark, Craig Boddington, Tony Sanchez-Arino, the list is endless. And I'm an idiot?
May I suggest before you start spouting your ethics and morals from that moral pinnacle I spoke of in post #71, you might wish to really review your words more carefully and possibly apply them to a much broader picture than the end of your turned up nose.
You enjoy the rest of your night now, and I hope them panties don't bind TOO bad!
