I am looking for some recommendations on a good range bag . It will need to fit my Star shooter bipod, protector rear bag, ear muffs, some tools and ammo boxes. Any recommendations ?

Thanks

I was actually thinking about this today myself. Mystery Ranch has something nice bags with a “Y” zipper that allows for really easy access to everything in the bag. I’m not sure if any other brand should offer anything similar. I’ll be curious to see what other suggestions are made.

I need something to comfortably fit:
- Spray paint
- Rear bag
- Gamechanger bag
- Pump pillow
- Ammo
- Mags
- Ears
- Some tools
- Shooting note book

I use an "Air Canada" carry on luggage. It's not ideal, but any of the "range bags" I've looked at haven't appeared to be any sort of upgrade.

My range bag is a black carry on type luggage bag. It has a large main compartment, and a small pocket it measures 12"L x 11"W x 10"H.
It cost me 50 cents at a yard sale but is like new. I figure it is all I will need for the foreseeable future.
It carries my Ammunition, Rear bag, Ear protection, FAT Wrench, Tools, Tacks, Magazines, Pens, and a few other odds & ends.
I carry my bag and a locked hard case containing 1 trigger locked pistol, and one trigger locked rifle. The next week I swap out the rifle and pistol for another. If I have a guest I bring 2 cases 2 pistols & 2 rifles, extra ammo and the bag.

I use a Makita tool bag. Does all I need it to. Very heavy duty. Weighs over 70lbs loaded up with gear and ammo and it hasn't showed any signs of wear after a few years use.

5.11 makes a nice bag.

I have their range bag. Awesome quality with tons of extras (removable 3 slot carrier for pistols/ammo, brass bag, etc). I also have a Hazard4 MPC for pistols. Supposed to carry 14, but thanks to trigger locks, I get 4-5 max. Super small and convenient though. Still need an ammo bag, unless you go with the 5.11--which has room for everything.

I second the 5.11 suggestion. I use a rush 24 as my range bag.

I like packs but get tired of digging for things lost in the bottom. That’s why I’m partial to those “Y” zippers. Put the pack down, unzip it and enverything is there in a nice pile with easy access.

The tool bag is a good idea actually they open up nice and wide but there’s not always a way to carry like a pack to free your hands up to carry the rifle / rifle case.

I use a 24 inch tool bag. Has a hard bottom, shoulder strap lots of inside and outside pockets.
It's a Kuny's brand but very similar to this Husky one at Home Depot

I to have used everything from 5.11 to Camelbaks and finally started using an inexpensive Red Rock Outdoor Gear Operations Duffle Bag. 50 bucks’ish on Amazon if you get it on special.
