Haven't seen a lot of 4.2 inch 44 mags so when i saw this one on the EE i had to have it. Haven't shot it yet as its a tad cold at the range right now. Beautiful gun, check out some pics.

I just shot mine for the first time this weekend.
I was able to fire off 5 rounds of .44mag bare-handed before I had to pass it to my son to give it a go. It's a beautiful beast of a HG. You could feel the indoor stall vibrate as the rounds pounded downrange.
I'll have to wear a glove next time...maybe I'll be able to handle 10rnds:D
Enjoy the new toy....

Were you on a waiting list for yours, this is the first one ive seen anywhere, why i nabbed off the EE when i saw it.

Nice little beast. I especially like the grip, mine came with the small wooden thingie.... how does it handle ?

Yeah when I shot mine the first time in September I ripped a good few chunks of flesh off my hands. I went through two boxes but man was it painful !

I haven't shot the gun yet but man, tearing chucks off your hands lol. Ive had 3 44 mags previous to this one, two 629's and one 29-3 and nothing ripped flesh off my hands. You guys reloading or what, i just use factory ammo.

I was on a waiting list for over a year and no concrete delivery date. Every" 6-8wks expected delivery date" came and went.
A fellow CGNer found one locally. Shot a box and decided it wasn't for him. I jumped all over it when he told me it was for sale. I cancelled my order and used the deposit for another toy.

I bought a box of Win 44 Rem Mag 240gr JSP but curious to see how the 300gr + feel:eek:
The exposed frame on the back of the grip really pounds the palm....what a blast!

that is ###y as hell.
i had a astra 4 incher in the 80's, wished i'd have kept it.

take a camera to the range if you can, so we can see some fire and dead paper :p

After deciding I wanted a .Redhawk it took me about a year to find mine in the EE because I wanted the out-of-production blued steel with a 5.5 inch barrel. They are good guns that seem to be no trouble to sell on if you decide it doesn't suit you.

The most ordinary Winchester 240 gr. you can find. With the grips you have you should be alright, but mine (wooden grips) holds my middle finger rather tightly between it and the trigger guard so when the gun flips it's like very quickly twisting a pair of soft metal pliers over your finger...
