Range Report Ruger Redhawk 44 mag with 4.2 inch barrel.. RANGE REPORT POST #41

Went to the range today to try out the new gun. Love it!

Took a shaky video, pretty bad but wanted to show you guys something. I need a bi-pod or a camera man lol.

I didnt find the recoil bad at all, i like it much better then my 629 i had. I really should have had a sandbag or something to rest it on to sight it in properly but i didnt have one. I shot from 25 yards to 7 yards.

Thanks for the video.

I have a Ruger Super-Blackhawk 4 5/8" in .44 Magnum, and I just love it.

I would have liked to have bought a Ruger Redhawk like yours. But that particular gun you have is more rare than a three-dollar bill. Congratulations on finding one.

You'll love it when you start shooting with the 240 grain bullets. But you should probably hold on with both hands.

I did shoot some 240 didnt find much difference.

Nice! I wish dealers would bring more Redhawk 4.2"s into this country, can't find them anywhere.

Epps had one listed a few weeks back in .45 LC which is what I'm after, but Wifey is between jobs so I just couldn't pull it together. :(
I looked at the listing every day for two weeks until some other lucky bugger bought it. I wept openly.

I bought mine of the EE, guy was asking 790. When i saw it i knew i wanted it so i pmed him saying id pay 800, in the end with shipping we agreed on 825. Was worth every penny.

I'm sorry to bring this up after you missed the chance, but doesn't Ellwod Epps still operate a lay-away scheme?

Hey GunGuy, not trying to hi-jack your fine thread but can you tell me if you know about available holsters for those beasts.... whats out there ?
Would like to know as I bought one in 45.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Pancake81 picked up a Galco "Dual Actions Outdoorsman" for when his arrives.
I'm thinking about getting one for mine....
