Range time with the 180-C

308 needs a bigger receiver than 223/556. 6.5 Grendel would fit a 223 action though, and would be my choice for a hunting round given the action size restrictions, but you'd need a 7.62x39 bolt for that I do believe?

down south, they are making 50bmg bolt action upper receiver for the AR-15, it shouldn't be a problem to fit the same on the WK-180 lower. Now, 6.5 Grendel requires a larger bolt face, thus would require a complete BCG along with the upper. Thus what I suggested 300BLK.

300BLK upper. Makes the most sense.

After some reading I agree, it seems simple. 18.6" barrels with carbine length gas system are common and relatively cheap. Might do the conversion on mine we will see. I might also just get a custom barrel made so I can do 6x45mm. I need to do more research.

I've got an idea the WK180 is going to be a great platform to develop wildcat for :)

Hmm. It would be nice to have a 5.56 and something with a little more punch for hunting by simply buying an upper conversion.

For what I plan to hunt 5.56 is exactly the right calibre. Only thing I would want is another, longer barrel in 5.56 with no gas system so I can run it as a spring assisted bolt action.

driller212 do the 6x45 i will be for sure at some point is very easy just run 223rem brass through the 6.x45 FL die done and make sure twist is right for weight you want to shoot ill be running the 105 hornady bthp cost is good and fps is fair

Yea the simplicity and effectiveness of it is what sold me initially. Finding a barrel is very difficult though, so I would have to get one custom made...$$$

No plans to sell 7.62 x 39 top halves at this time but we can't make a firm decision until we know the costs. I am not sure a .22 conversion kit would be a viable project. I would like to see a 9 mm conversion kits but they are a long way off. The WK Utility rifle in .308 is a totally different animal to the WK180-C.

I'm not sure if this is something you'd consider but if you'd make replacement bolts available in the 7.62x39 and 6.8 SPC case head diameters it would open up a whole world of interesting chamberings and wildcats for those who want to tinker with the WK-180C.

Overall - not bad.

Hate the handguard and the screw holding the selector.

I will definitely buy the 7.62 version.

Forgive me. This will be my first black rifle. I have one on order. Which 10rnd pistol mag was that in the video from your site?

Thanks guys
