The magnum is very, very rare. It's actually amazing how byzantine the production of some Colt revolvers was. It appears that Colt production was entirely driven by the number of orders they had on hand, virtually nothing was 'built on spec' and market research seems to have been non-existent. It sure does make for interesting collecting though.
had diamond backs, never really did it like the Python's for some reason ( as shooters), never seen a 22 mag , did not know they even made one, now it has me thinking, never a great thing.
Back about 1980or 90's Rossie sold a look alike diamondback 22 , looked quite good and with some action work , it shoot not to bad, but never take the place of the real deal.
