I can't post pics from where I am - in-transit to the Tulsa Gun Show, but "rare" doesn't always mean valuable - people have to want it. Here are some examples that I have of scarce, but not exceptionally pricey milsurps. People just don't seem to want the following too badly:

- Turkish Forestry Carbine (a converted Berthier);
- Dutch Mannlichers;
- anything Portuguese (unless it's German);
- low production years of most milsurps (worth a bit more than common years);
- many from Mexico and South and Central America; and
- 8mm Carcanos.

I have a 1916 and 1918 SSA marked enfields No1 MkIII*

post war No1MkIII RSAF Enfield dated 1924 - 2 years after they were reported to have stopped production of the Mk III

a M91/24 Fin Civil Guard with SIG stepped barrel

DCRA Enfield and 2 EALs but those are not really rare.

really rare ones are less then 5000 and having survived several wars.

I've been told that very few of these 1956 No.4 Mk.2's exist, as they were the tail-end of the last year of production (1955). It has full wood, but not all of it is original- some of it has Longbranch markings. Also, the bolt doesn't match, so if anyone out there has that bolt, I'd be willing to pay a premium for it... :D

I have a 1948 ROF No5MK1 "Jungle Carbine" supposed to be post-war, authentic and completely matching (receiver, bolt & bayonet). I was told it was probably a firearm assembled from left over armourer's parts.

pics?? I had one dated 12/47. 1947 was supposed to be the last year they were produced.

Here is one of my rare pieces. Its an unaltered Tokagypt. Apparently only 15,000 made. The few others that I've seen have had fake markings stamped on them and came with a 7.62x25 barrel as well as the 9mm barrel.

Some nice guns shown here, it's nice to know that the world is not all "black guns" and some still appreciate the historical
aspect of firearms.
I am sort of a history buff myself and having said that here is my contribution to this chat.
In the beginning of WW1 the German army had no scoped military sniper rifles so they asked the public to contribute their
scoped hunting rifles to the cause. in all 4600 or so were gathered up.
These went to Spandau Arsenal for approval and then into service, mostly I understand, to shot machine gunners through
their aiming / firing slot.
I happen to own 1 of 3 of these 4600 Mausers that have surfaced and feel extremely lucky to own a firearm of such historical
ambiance. These rifles have specific marks to show they were Commercial to Military rifles.
Have some pics. if some is willing to post them here for me. --- John
