This was built off a 9mm SAM 1911. Has all Ed Brown and STI internals with a sub 2 lb trigger. Polished frame and aged slide. Shows what can happen when you are bored one day

Any experience gutting a Norc NP29? I love that slide and frame with the FS, but I know the inners need major work.

Did the same with a NP29 too, found working on the Sam was easier as it wasn’t so rough to begin with

Can you explain in more detail what inner parts you replaced & with what exact parts?

Sorry not sure of the exact parts as most of them came out of the parts bin. I do know that it was a STI hammer, Ed Brown Sear and disconnect, Dlask trigger. 9# mainspring and Wolf leaf spring

That's the neat thing about the 1911.....so many things you can change on them to make them uniquely yours.

What was rough about the Norc? Do slide and frame fit smoothly as some work on it? I personally just love the look at the NP29, so I'm thinking about it. Likely have it sandblasted and cerakoted before dropping on a trigger kit and mag well.
