Why would you build one when it's easier to steal them?
Joking aside, good luck with your build!
The ones I've seen are aimpoint m4 in adm mount, TD short vertical grip, ssa trigger, troy sights. I can't recall if they had flashlights or not.
Its an aimpoint PRO. And surefire scout light
Hmm... can't say I like how the RCMP have chosen to configure the IUR patrol carbine. Particularly the front sight. Why not either use a standard C8 sight, or alternately, go with a rail mounted BUIS. Clearly the optic is the primary, that flimsy front sight design just looks too fragile for real work. Equally perplexed by the Ergo Grip and LMT SopMOD. It's like some guy at ERT just specced out his personal favourite rig, no allowance for the average member who might have smaller hands or prefer a narrower cheek weld.
The vertical foregrip needs to go.
CompM4s
I semi agree. It's a slick rig to shoot for sure, so it's hard to complain. But I will anyway.![]()
Not a fan of the ergo grip, the way we are trained to shoot it it's at a very uncomfortable angle, it's a little heavy with the full rails on all 4 sides, of which about 6 actual rails get used on the fore end.
But that front sight, well the amount of times I have smashed my elbow into that in the truck, it hasn't budged, and doesn't move, and hurts me all the time. It's quite solid, trust me on that!
I here ya. I can't believe how many times I keep hitting my elbow on that thing when I get into the vehicle. That being said, pretty slick rig. The muzzle break on their absolutely eliminates muzzle climb. The trigger is fantastic and it is nothing to shoot tighter groups at 100m that a person should be able to do with a red dot. The Comp m4 is nice as is the flashlight. The way they train you to shoot with that foregrip is completely asinine. That all being said, I am glad we have them.
The vertical foregrip needs to go.
The Tango is not used as a vertical grip but as a reference point. We give them #### if they use it as a vertical grip.

Ok...I gotta ask...what is the stance like? Hand position? If not used as a grip, what’s the grip for? If it’s only used as a reference point, why have all that bulk of a grip and not a hand stop or tactile rail cover? Unless of course this is some secret squirrel stuff.
I view grips like I do pistol grips and stocks...whatever floats your boat and achieve zen with the principles of marksmanship.
Even that guy in the pic is a little too on the vertical grip.
Its only a minor gripe. Everyone loses the rifle...its great
