RCMP "Information Regarding 80% Lowers"

In other news, RCMP has deemed tossing off or having a period 1st degree murder, because ovum and sperm have no other purpose than to create human life.

Released Today.......

The classification listed in the table applies to the unmodified receiver blank.

So, in other words, 80% AR15 is prohibited when it's awaiting completion...

The classification of a firearm made from one of the receiver blanks may differ.

... so once it's made into an AR15 it takes on the classification of that firearm (i.e., restricted) as per the FRT.

This Thought Crime nonsense sucks.

Don't want to be a devils advocate here but I am surprised they didn't consider the Glock lowers prohibited too as they can be used for say a Glock 18 slide...

While it is rather ridiculous that all this has come about, and complaints should be made to the proper people, the firearm companies in this country should get together and make a super cheap parts kit and assemble them. Sadly, it would make them more expensive (in a country where stuff is already pricey) but then people still could get the lowers they want and put the parts they want in them. It shouldn't be necessary, but it sounds like a rather inexpensive work-around (which is kind of what we do).

CRIMINALS in the business of manufacturing of criminals

I'm just curious
They paint all gun owners as criminals
Should we paint ALL of them the same?
Would they like that or would they come to their senses?

But...
Alas, I think they would use it to justify their invalid point

I believe that a read somewhere that the Glock 18 slide will only fit on the frame specifically designed for it and not on any other Glock frames . Glock specifically designed it this way.

LOL..who really cares about what these douches at the RCMP say,80% will never go away simply because they dont like them, and now that they made them prohibited and brought national attention to these things, the market and demand for these will go through the roof, there will be even more of them flooding in across the border, and at $50.00 or less in the US,the supply is endless, pretty much defeating their ban in the first place,LOL.the stupidity at the RCMP doesn't seem to have any end, they are so affraid of gun owners it's too funny,

The NOT SO FUNNY part is that they ARE afraid of gun owners
What is scary is

WHY?
What have they in store for us?

All the 80% lowers have been pulled and are no longer for sale. Dealers can't risk their business. What we need is a class action lawsuit that goes after the RCMP "rulings" as an entire group and challenges their legality. All firearms orgs should launch this jointly.

G17 and G18 slides aren't interchangeable. G18's have higher frame rails.

MFG - so now "this guy I know", who has "some" 80% AR15 lowers, is now in possession of prohibited "firearms"?? We have officially gone full retard.
This country and its firearms paranoia is out of control.

Mean while back on the streets of this once proud country, we have free needle exchanges, safe space for shooting up illegal drugs, and then the resulting destroyed careers, families, and resulting deaths; not to mention an insane burden on our medical system.

But that's OK, drug abuse is acceptable to our society, but firearms are not.
