Reactive target...check it out..

Ar500

You MIGHT wanna re-think that. It will be swiss cheese in one shot. Mild steel and .223 equals HOLE.

Now, if you made those out of AR500... now THAT would be cool! (Abeit a litttle pricey):)

I agree. They might work for pistol even though I think the mild steel is going to get both warped and pitted very fast. Small dimples are not what you want either. Any slight angle in the face will change the direction of the bullet after impact from what you thought it would do.

When it comes to steel targets, AR 500 is the only way to go. Not AR 200, not AR 400 but AR 500.

yes :( i did. but i don't have much choice, it's only a 10-15 minute drive compared to the almost 2 hour drive to MVMA. i can go to cdtsa every day if i wanted to, but could maybe make it to MVMA once per week if lucky, and it would have to be an all day event to make it worthwhile.

What do you think of the place? I was planning on joining it for the same reason - close to home.

Cool target setup!
I too would be wary about hitting that with a .223. It will probably make a mess out of the paddles. But then again if you have the tooling to make new ones at will that might not be a big deal.
