Wow this thread started in 2004 great resurection, I love wildcating we should have this as a forum.

Anyway 22br 248 nk 6br 273 nk 6mm SLR 274 nk now building a 6br 269 nk

I was thinking of wildcating a 7mm but ended up with a 284 win.

Currently I have and shoot:

Thomson Super 14 Contender in 30 Herrett.
2 AR's in a 30 Herrett AR/HRT, one AR in .277 Wolverine and 5.56x6.8.

The TC is a 30 30 brass shortened to 1.605'' with a 30 deg shoulder.
The 30 Herrett AR/HRT is a 6.8 SPC brass shortened to 1.575", 30 Deg shoulder and expanded to a .30 caliber projectile. The .277 Wlv is a 5.56/.223 shortened to 1.530" and expanded to .277/6.8 projectiles and the 5.56x6.8 is a 6.8 SPC brass narrowed to .224 caliber projectiles.

I can shoot the AR cartridges in the TC even tho there is no rim on the brass for the ejection rod. However I need to be careful with the powder charge due to the added pressure for the AR chambers.

Currently I have a 20 Vartarg and a 223 Ackley Imroved. I have had a 280 Ackley Improved and a 257 Aclkley Improved. I don't hunt anymore and just shoot non competative bench rest 100 to 300 yrds so I am currently looking into building a 30 BR.

Thanks. It's a fun shooter with zero recoil that is compatible to a .223.
