Really? The end of cheap SKS's?

price fluctuation are expected even on between shipments , I recall every time marstar waited for m305 the prices would rise and then dropped when the shipment arrives .

one has to remember , the Chinese made over 10 million SKS and they still have the tooling so they can start again. they have no use for SKS its actually costing them money just sitting in storage .

I used to be with you on that, but there's strong indications that the supply of the Chinese SKS's is starting to dry up, at least temporarily.

Guys please.... if you keep going on about the impending sks shortage and the imminent drastic rise in price... you are going to force me to buy more! Now stop it already... :)

10 years for 300?.. M44 was moving from 160$ to almost 400$ in three years.

Lost more SKS's coming my friend. Approx. 15,000,000 made with no end to imports in sight, & your comparing that to the M44?
Nope, the Canadian market will still be flooded with the SKS 10 years from now.

From Frontier...

Please note, that due to the unrest in the Ukraine , that shipments of Surplus Rifles and Ammunition has all but stopped. While we had a large stock pile of these rifles just after Christmas, the last few weeks has depleted our inventory. In the last 3 days we went from 60 laminate stock SKS rifles to 0. We are able to buy more stock, however prices have started to rise. If you have been holding off purchasing a SVT-40, Russian SKS, or Mosin Nagant, now is the time to buy, not only before the prices go up, but before the supply runs dry.

We still have a decent supply of SVT40s and 1891/30s at the old price, however what we thought looking like a 5 month supply now looks more like a 5 week supply at the way things are selling.

Russian SKS rifles are nearly gone (These come Via The Ukraine).

We were told that the Norinco SKS rifles are now going up by 80%. We still have some left at the old price.

Marstar is no longer importing Chinese SKS either as per their forum. The gravy train is over in the SKS club, let alone Mosins and svt40s.

Cuba has SKS. So does Bangladesh.

CGNers say how great the SKS is what's the problem paying a little more for it. I have read on here that people say an SKS is a $650 rifle so what's wrong with paying $350 for one?

$450 is not worst here , im willing to pay $500 for a para and more if it comes in a thumb hole stock . not common here .

Could be worse- I just spent NZ$450 for my Norc para model SKS. I am tempted to buy another, but will focus on ammunition instead.

Got off the phone with Marstar this afternoon and they told me they were selling off their last Chinese SKS rifles today and that they most likely won’t be getting anymore.

After hearing this I made sure I bought one. Pickings seem to be getting slim no matter if it’s Russian or Chinese.
