Really? The end of cheap SKS's?

Canadian tire is your friend. Best deals on SKS, svt-40, mosin, tavor. And if you go to the store you get to pick it out and free shipping. Only bad thing is you have to walk past everybody looking like a phsyco carrying a rifle with a bayonet.

I also just picked up a very nice 1950 Tula at the local Canadian Tire for 199.All numbers matching everything looks original no referb marks beautiful wood mag pined to 5 with the riveted post in the bottom of the mag, no #### looks like new .So canadian tire is the way to go right now for cheap and very good quality Russian made sks

I was just checking the online stores at the top of the page and they are all selling SKS's still I found one store out of stock. But the rest are selling them for under $200, one store had them for $229 and one store has them for close to $300. Looks to be plenty still for sale in this country. Also canadian tire and your local gun stores are still selling them. I find my local gun stores charging around $225, but there is no shipping so about the same.

Is anyone still selling the new Chinese ones ? I'm just thinking of the ones I spoke about previously. Brand new , Chinese, in boxes with the sling and oil bottle. :)

True . There must be a good profit in firearms and ammo as the local Canadian Tire here has just expanded their gun showcase again......and their prices are very good on some firearms....

Ya the big stores like canadian tire and wholesale sports keep these online stores in check. Glad to see one thing canadians get cheap is weapons of war.

Problem is some of us live too far north or away from Canadian tire or wholesale sports to make it worth it. The Canadian tire closest to me doesn't sell firearms and the nearest Wholesale Sports is a days drive away. Probably for the best I would be broke otherwise.

I would love it. Better yet buy a cartfull of them and wheel the whole bunch of them through the store and watch the looks, I would pay to see that. Good to see Can Tire starting to sell guns again. Just wish they would near me...

You should have seen the looks I got carrying a mosin91/30 with a fixed bayonet walking down Main Street to my pickup. I felt like a tool. But I just gave them the mr bean, what are you looking at look. I bought it at the height of hunting season and all the guys were in there buying browning 7mm hunting rifles and I grab a $149 mosin off the shelf. They kinda laughed at me but screw them a mosin is way cooler than a hunting rifle. Even if its a bolt action.

It's about time they went up in price.I bought most of mine back in the 80's. $300.00 a pop back then,it will take another 20 years for me to break even.

I just picked up very mint SKS at Milarms in Edmonton, they do have few of them on display, asking $179 for wood and $199 for laminate stocks. I got a beauty laminate, all matching numbers! No ###XX marks on stock! Will be cleaning it later on and post some pictures.

They are alot of rifle for the money ; but you have to be careful as some are better than others . I was looking at SKSs at Canadian Tire this afternoon , and although they looked good at first glance , I noticed alot of black paint sprayed on in place of blueing.....they had been heavlly touched up . I bought four laminate SKSs awhile back from a LGS , and they were perfect , and had no touch up paint......buyer beware I guess....
