Reasons for owning a dangerous game rifle in North America

I went to a gun show on Saturday and saw a beautiful rifle chambered in 375 H&H at a decent price. I almost bought it, and have regretted not buying it since then. Fortunately, I have contact info for the seller.

Of course, I have no real need for such a rifle. I already own multiple rifles, that cover just about every type of hunting that I will likely ever undertake. But who says (other than liberals) that you should only have firearms that you need.

So, in order to rationalize such a purchase, and although I do not need to provide any justifications to anyone, I am curious as to how I (or you) could spin it.

So here goes:

1. If climate change turns out to be as severe as most liberals say it is going to be, we might find ourselves hunting elephants and other pachyderms in Canada in our lifetime!
2. You have to be ready for when those polar bears start drifting south on floating ice pack, due to the rising level of the oceans and the general disruption of the world climate.
3. I might win a lottery and feel a sudden urge to go hunt in Africa. Got to familiarize myself with the rifle, just in case.
4. A moose can never be too dead!

Please extend my list!

As I get older, tiny little cartridges are harder and harder for my fumbling fingers to find when loading. .375H&H is an adult size, for adult hands.

Plus, .375 is an excellent squirrel gun. The size makes a miss statistically less likely.

ps, I've just aquired a 9.3 by 62 which I'll use on coastal blacktail. When I knock one down, I want it down!

I just love big boomers for fun myself. They are a blast to shoot, and loading over 100gr of smokeless into a case is a neat experinces

I have a 460 weatherby, 500 jeffery, 43 exress a few bigbore muzzle loaders and im working on a 6 bore 36" barrel muzzle loader.

Next build will be a 7mm but after that im going to build a 416 rigby and a 375 H&H to round out my big bore collection

It will keep company to my 300 H&H, which is feeling lonely in my safe, as it is my only other rifle chambered for a cartridge by Holland & Holland.

Just because... and it is fun, knocking little ole whitetails and 200 pound meat bears off their feet.

If your seeing elephants in Quebec, you have already passed over and haven't yet realized it..

Regressive dinosaur lieberals in Ottawa. Noone bats a eye.

What are you hunting....Pterodactyl? Sorry a little angry Tom escaped.

By the way. As 223 for hunting advocates will say. Its all about shot placement. You aren't going to ruin anymore meat than a non magnum.

Shot placement.....CGN code for justification to the wife to go to the range. Your welcome.
