Recently Banned Rimfire Rifles

I used to sell IT/AV equipment and I dreaded every government and education deal. Almost every time, a room full of decision makers had zero subject matter expertise. I'm willing to bet that the same "experts" were tasked with crafting C-21

This action banning (some) firearms was a newb - recent graduate's project to justify the government ttrust. But the idea is just a copy, already exist somewhere else.
I just got back from Eastern EU 6 weeks trip.
Most of my friends lost their firearms -for free...no buy back from governments. Whoever decided to go with available option to keep he's gun = need to pay a pretty aggressive Tax - per piece....something like registering your car every year.
One friend after several years of paying the stupid tax he decided to give back a handgun...cannot get amo and nowhere to shoot and the gun was just sitting deep in the drawers.
This just a story that I learned in recent weeks trip.

Soon you'll see pump action guns and lever action guns on a list of banned hunting tools. Then the boobs will be asking for your single shot devices.
Shortly after that, dictatorship in the form of communism arrives right here in Canada.
What will you do? I don't want to live in a communist country with dictator Trudeau. Remember when he banned hand guns? "I have decided" to ban all hand guns, he said. In a democratic society, we Canadians should have had a vote on this. But it didn't happen because we have a dictator leader in Trudeau.
When the government finishes controlling guns, they'll go after anything that bothers them in any way. Your music, your motorcycle, your boat, your house, the type of clothes you wear, hair style and the list goes on and on.
I'm sure you have all heard it before - You will own nothing and be happy.
This is a sad day in our history.
When Chretien was in power and introduced Bill C-68 Allan Rock, then safety Minister, got up on the podium in front of all of us there and stated that he came to Ottawa with the belief that only military and police should own firearms. Although they were probably working towards that end before they are certainly working towards that today. TC

Working on it since the nineteen seventies.

The bastard spawn of Fidel Castro is way beyond his expiration date. The swine needs to immediately call an election, and then he needs to go to prison for his crimes against Canada and its people, along with his lapdog and accomplice Singh and all his hired goons.
Let me fix your statement they all need to hang from a rope don’t know about the rest of you but they have wasted enough tax payer money so I for one don’t want to pay to house them and feed them so ya as a tax payer I say rope is cheap.

Might have missed a couple of replicas but that should be all the ones banned from the Dec 5 2024 OiC https://www.gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p2/2024/2024-12-06-x3/html/sor-dors248-eng.html

The ARX160-22, the VZ 61-22, and the Kriss vector were not banned in the May 1 2020 OiC, ARX 160-22 was discontinued in 2015? and the VZ 61 was just infrequently imported. The VZ 61 was at one point in time a legal grey zone, but was clarified prior to 2020 OiC.

The VZ 61 auto pistol was prohibited by name, but the VZ 61 smg/rifle was not.

From the FRT:
the firearm known as the Czech Small Arms, manufactured Sa VZ.61 Combat is a similar firearm to the Model referenced in PFR, Part 1, para 40. However, PFR, Part 1, para 40 refers to the "pistol" version of the Skorpion whereas the model in this record is the semi-automatic, commercial version (C/V) of the submachine gun (fullautomatic) Skorpion VZ. 61 and therefore should not be linked to PFR, Part 1, para 40.

There are no repeats from the May 1 2020 OiC. https://gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p2/2020/2020-05-01-x3/html/sor-dors96-eng.html
