Recommend me a book.

Louis L'amour is an amazing outdoor adventure writer, Can't go wrong. The series about the Sacketts exploring the unknown wilds of America in the early 1600's is excellent, lots of adventure, hunting, Indian encounters good and bad, things like that. Hard to put them down.

Hop on pop...... Dr Seuss

Just kidding.....

My favourite outdoor writer is Pat McManus from outdoor life........ he has numerous short stories that have been compiled into books where each "chapter" is its own short story....... you could read one each night..... but good luck limiting yourself...... super addictive

Grizzlies and white Guy's, indeed a great read! Jack Boudreau has some good reads aswell. Recently finished "King of the mountain", one of many great books by him.

My dad ran into Jack back in Penny in the late 70's and I met his brother a couple of years ago. He gave me a bunch of books and you are right, Jack has written quite a few good books.

I really enjoyed Hot Rod by (if memory serves) Henry Falsen or similar last name, middle name may have been Gregory. It's been around for yrs. I used to read it every 10 yrs of so. It's a story that you have a hard time to put it down. Good Luck hunting!

x2

Ha! I have this old thing in paperback. Had it ever since I was a kid. Wow... There is some cool stuff in that book. I'll have to pick it up again. Have a flight tomorrow...good opportunity.

Andy Russell

His FIL Bert Riggall wrote a book as well.......took me 3 years to find one and then my father absconds it.....he tells me it's a good book. :p

I'm surprised nobody mentioned our own CGN'r H4831 and the book he wrote: Outposts and Bushplanes. I thought it was a good read.

Another I really enjoyed though not about hunting was a book about the defense of Canada and the U.S's west coast during WW2 called "War On Our Doorstep" by a resident of Vancouver Island Brendan Coyle. It was a very good and informative read.

Or you could always go into Kamlooky's post history, download and print all his posts and spend the week deciphering and translating then post back for the membership to read!! Of course you'd have your work cut out for you and probably miss most of the hunt?!!
