Recommend me a handgun.

^^See, 2 people who like glock, but you'll find as many who hate them with the same passion. Personally, I can't stand them. I have a lot of respect for the people who can shoot well with a glock. I usually say you shoot well despite a glock, not because of a glock. Just like they say close your eyes and buy a glock, I say buy anything on your list other than the glock.

Now if someone says a polymer striker fire and a steel hammer fire are the same and you just need to practice more, they are totally stupid. Steel totally rules ipsc and is practically forbiden in idpa, so you need to explain that first. If it was true, there wouldn't even be a market for the 2000$+ steel handguns, everyone would just buy the cheap tupperwares.

There is no right or wrong answer, although there might be answers that are better or worse for you. The newer Glocks have interchangeable backstraps that are designed to accommodate different sized hands. At the outset, I was far from being a Glock fan, since the ones I used would have given dreadful a bad name, and besides, I was a 1911 enthusiast. At the time I got the Glock I assumed I would like the Springfield XD better, since I liked the idea of the grip safety. But side by side, there was no comparison, the Glock was far and away the gun I preferred. Upon shooting it, I was actually shooting better than I was with my 1911, and I take some pride in what I can do with a 1911. If I have one criticism, its that there is insufficient clearance between the tip of the trigger trigger and the inside surface of the trigger guard so that when I press and release the trigger, over a number of sequences, my trigger finger becomes sore. So what's perfect? If I had a CCW-ATC, I would choose the Glock over the 1911, and I ever would have expected to say that.
 
I highly recommend the beretta 92fs but not so much to people with smaller hands . The few people I’ve had fire it at the range said they didn’t like the size of the firearm . You could be fine with it though , if you are unable to test fire before buying at least hold one beforehand .
 
With proper training most people should shoot about the same with almost any platform. However certain platforms may offer certain advantages in specific disciplines or due to quirks of the shooter's anatomy be a bit better in their hands.

make sure you have fundamental skills but shoot whatever gun gives you a 'wee bit more advantage' whatever that may be. Don't worry about what works for others, do what you like and what works the best for you.

Walther P99 and PPQ with small back strap work well with smaller hands.

I have a Glock 19 with grip reduction from Bowie Tactical, but I find I LOVE the slim grip on the G43. If I was starting today I would buy G48 instead of 19.

I have owned and shot a variation and or all of your choices and the beretta and sig have big grips but the sig i owned it was an elite in 40 s&w and by far the best shooting pistol i have ever shot it shot right where you pointed and you will soon realize that will not be the case for most you will shoot and the beretta is my favourite its an inox brigadier but its not the best shooter i had a glock 22 and until the sig i bragged and bragged how good a shooter it was i owned a walther it had a small grip but the best advice has already been given, go touch and shoot rental or a buddies first cuz all the opinions here are nothing but personal ones and that wont work for you and your first
 
I am not buying a gun to keep in my safe. Not sure where anyone got that idea from. I jsut want to buy soon incase of a ban. Thats all. Secondly, again. I cant leave the house for a bit so that is why i cant go rent one or to the store to hold one etc. Money isnt that much of an issue. I dont want to spend $3000 on a handgun but i dont mind spend $2000 after tax since ill have he gun for many years. I wont be shooting it that often though as I live in Toronto. And Mayor Miller was a complete and utter tool and banned ranges here.
 
You're in Toronto? Head over to Al Flaherty's outdoor store and hold a bunch. I love my elite stainless but it is a little bigger in the grip, if you love the style take a peak at the Beretta 92 compact stainless, they have one at Al flahertys along with a good selection of others. I put money down on a gun before I even had my pal. I say buy the one you think is coolest.

Browning Hi-Power. Perfect size for most hands. The magazine disconnect is easy to remove if it bothers you (it was added to the design at the last minute under protest), but leaving it in isn't any inconvenience.

Used Mk IIIs and T series can be found on the EE for around $500-800, or there's the Turkish Dominion Arms DA35 for $700 from CanadaAmmo which is a clone of the T series, though they may need fitting to install the safety and sights of later models.
