Recommend me a new stock for my Win M70

Wildcat is a great stock. I have several
But remember by the time you finish it paint it and such you are close to a Mcmillan in price. Not as much wait time as a Mcmillan though. Neither is a bad pick.

Wildcat are Canadian made....excellent stocks as well. Have one on a Rem 700 8mm Mag and it is fantastic and very light. As said, by the time it is fitted/painted will be similar to McM....likely $100 less. Nice to support Canadian retailers, especially with yanks sticking it to us with NAFTA negotiations.

Is that not a cheek rest designed to sit against your left cheek in that picture?.... what does the other side look like?

it is a very nice design for a synthetic.......

Like any stock, the cheek piece is on the off side. So for a lefty they ALWAYS rest against your left cheek. For a right handed shooter their right cheek rests on the cheek piece.

The Echols McMillan is my favourite by a landslide.

Chuck, I was thinking of trying a McM on my Mod 70 338win. Was thinking of going with the Classic. Have you tried the Classic? Wondering how it compares to the Echols? Any difference in felt recoil between the two with heavier recoil. Thx
