I prefer the Rifle-craft sling to the Safari. Fast to operate, and more like a true ching-sling, though it still only needs one front swivel.
Well cancelled that order from Galco....the shipping is crazy! $90 to ship WTF
Where else can I find them?
Andy's Leathers makes the original Ching Sling (the type which requires an extra swivel stud just forward of the magazine), and one he calls a Rhodesian Scout Rifle Sling, which I think is similar to Galco's Safari Ching Sling.
neither the Galco Safari Ching Sling nor the Rhodesian Scout Rifle Sling are even close to the Boonie Packer (redi-mag) Safari Sling.
see the original here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGwn6Kfno7o
I fail to see how the Boonie Packer Safari Sling can be used as a shooting aid. Neither would it allow itself to a muzzle down carry position, which is my preference as it gives me quick access to the rifle which would be in the way if carried to the front as demonstrated in the video; so how exactly is it better? The various versions of the Ching Sling or for that matter the original CW sling are much more versatile, but it all comes down to personal preference.
it allows you to shoulder the rifle in a blink of an eye.
which is important for both hunting and defense in thick bush.
My favorite sling is the BFG VCAS,
Apparently its been a while since I ordered from Galco, if they want $90 for shipping, I've bought my last sling or holster from them.
