Hey this is good advice. I have a Savage 111 in 270. as a lifetime WT gun, and I'm about 120 rounds into the gun at the range and plinking etc. I'm comfortable and hitting my shots quickly because I practiced with all the different ammo's too see and feel the difference. Now I know the gun, the ammo's, and now when I hunt in season, the gun will see 1-2 or maybe 3 shots a year. I want those shots to be of handloaded quality. As you can see it's not practical to reload for a hunt gun, so I went with Nosler trophy's at 50.00 a box of 20. This ammo is amazingly high quality.
So for my 2.50 a shot, I think it's worth it to have that confident edge of using top quality ammo
ya,ya,ya, the Rem 130gr wallmart ammo is just as good for all practical purposes, deer don't know the difference etc.
I know the difference and it makes me feel just that much sharper.......Who could deny it feels good to use top quality ammo....Right handloaders?
Just looking at those Nosler's , it's looks like something you'd shoot at the Olympics.
I know people in here will FUDD all over me, but common' I'm not setting up a press to load beautiful hunting 270 rounds.
I'm doing right by my grandfather by using the 270. , like he did. The animals haven't changed, just the hype at the gun counters(*koff*Koff *Wholesale Sports*
cheers guys
