Recommendations for bolt action rifles

I am also a newer shooter as is my wife, I went with a Tika T3X as I am a lefty and they have great coverage for us and wife went with a Savage Axis II and I have shot both and found both comfortable but the Axis II does feel slightly more compact so if u r a smaller framed shooter or not that may be a consideration.

Man I just read through all 5 pages and all I want to know is what Harry007 ended up getting. He probably gave up on this thread because of all the “mine’s bigger than yours”

What are your favorite stainless rifles, Redneck?
I don’t have a pile of rifles that I hunt hard with. So I’m probably not your best source of info on this.

I do have a savage 110 in stainless that holds up well, tikka that is doing okay (action screws like to rust) and the wife has a new Winchester model 70 that has great blueing and doesn’t seem to rust.

Experience is from multi day hunts in the rain and wet brush in interior bc. Coastal areas would be harder on rifles.

Thats still good info all the same, I appreciate it!

I would also vote Tikka T3x or Sako in stainless if that's in the budget but there are many other good manufactures out there. Go to a shop and hold as many as possible to see what feels good to you.
