Recommendations of a 9mm for competition

I tried to get a sponsorship from TP about 2 years ago when the Strike One just became available

All I wanted to say, IF you have an older Strike One, just make sure that your gun complies with Production Division rules.

Is it true that the cz 75 shadow is not legal in idpa due to weight? Ideally I would like a 9mm for both ipsc and idpa...the sw m&p 9 pro becomes more attractive then.

IPSC Production: CZ Shadow. Period. Who ever comes up with a better mouse trap to displace this one will really have something because this one is darn near perfect IMO.
IPSC Open: STI DVC....I'd really like to play with one but I still need to find my pot-o-gold....
IPSC Standard; Don't use a 9.
IPSC Classic; Several STI 1911's come to mind
IPSC Revolver; S&W 929

As for other sanctioning bodies I'll leave others to comment.

That's a bit narrow minded...
There are guys out there doing great in production with Grand Powers, Glocks, Tanfoglios...
I have yet to see someone shoot a DVC in open, there will be some, but Open is full of SVs and STIs of all sorts at the moment
