Recommended non standard hunting cartridge??

9.3 x 62

Any of the Shultz and Larsen (very sweet rifles BTW)

6mm Lee Navy in a decent bolt rifle.

I guess it all depends on what you want to use it for and what you expect it to do.

The Sweed 6.5 X 55 easy to load for lots of bullets available 100 gr to 160 gr foxes too moose, and easy on the shoulder.

I like the not mainstream ones so I got a few.

You say 280 and they correct you, you mean 270? Nope it's like a 270 but better :)

My other one is 6.5 rem mag, I say it's like a 270 but in a short action and one size smaller and a bit faster, or like a 6.5x55 but ad 400fps.

A buddy has a 307 win, I'm still trying to figure out what that's good for.

I would like a m77 mk2 in 350 rem mag someday to play with too.

I haven't dredged through this thread, so I don't know if its been suggested, but 6.5x57 (and 6.5x57R) is a apparently a real dandy, and quite loved in Europe.

I went the other way... with a No.1-RSI in 7.62X57... but I suppose that could be considered pretty non-standard.
