Hi All
I mainly shoot and reload for my benelli r1 in 30-06. At public ranges I am finding it a pain in the ass when I shoot this thing as brass flys far. Makes it hard to keep your brass sorted in terms of how many times it has been loaded and looking at the primers when working up loads as you have to wait for a cease fire before you can gather your brass. I have thought about getting a net but I like to shoot off the bench in different positions.
What I am wondering is that I have heard that trap shooters will put rubber bands around the receiver so that the shell will not eject. Just wondering if anyone has tried this with a semi auto rifle? This would work for me as I generally just load one road at a time and the bolt locks back when the mag is empty. Just don’t want to damage the firearm.
Thanks
Del
