Does anyone hunt ducks/geese with a red dot?
I've got a Win Mod 1300 deer combo that I use 99% of the time for deer outfitted with a red dot sight. I absolutely love the sight - the quick target aquisition is great. But for the once in a blue moon that I swap barrels to hunt waterfowl, I'd really rather not take the sight off and on. It's seems to me that the wide view offered by red dots would be ideal for waterfowl, but I've yet to see someone else doing it... I've patterned it at 25 yards and it seems to be bang on without adjusting the sights from zeroed at 60 yards for slugs.
Any thoughts?
