Red dot optic for a 22LR semi?

I really like the minox RV1. Go big tactical has them and they are currently 25 percent off, plus an extra 5 percent of you pay EMT.
If you like the aimpoint, this is probably right up your alley at 1/3 the price.

You can find them used for 80-100$.
That sale price is for the basic Bushnell Trophy red dot ... not the TRS 25 that people are talking about here ... which is a part of their AR line, for whatever that is worth.

Two different products ... and it would be a pretty big assumption to presume that the only difference is the height of the base, and that the tech and quality and engineering are otherwise identical.
In other words, a TRS 25 is probably not just a Trophy model on a taller mount, although I suppose that it could be ...

Looking at the pictures of the two, I'd hazard a guess that the Trophy IS the TRS-25, just called something different. Their regular price is $189 for each one, and the TRS-25 comes with the riser, so that tells me the TRS-25 is probably an older product. I would say it is very likely that the TRS-25 and the Trophy are the same thing.
Looking at Bushnell's website pretty much confirms it:

I haven't used my Crossfire reddot head to head vs my friends TRS-25, but for the sale price of $129 its hard to argue with the TRS-25. The only time I've seen the Crossfire reddot that cheap is during one of Prophet River's big Vortex open box sales (thats where I got mine! lol)
My Viper 3-9x40 1 inch tube model hasn't had any issues with the zero shifting. Maybe I got lucky? But I'd buy vortex again based on my experience with this one scope.
Edit - I lost my scope cover out hunting and emailed Vortex about buying a replacement. They called it a warranty claim and sent me a new one for free, they even paid the shipping. So from a customer service perspective they've won me over.

Hazard a guess all you want. I would say that you're probably mistaken. Mostly because this new-fangled Intenetty forum keeps manufacturers pretty honest. But I could be wrong. It would be so embarrassing for Bushnell to be caught charging an extra $60 for a taller riser on their Trophy red dot, and giving it a ###ier name.
Newer Edit: It looks like I was wrong. I apologize I went to your American link for Bushnell.com and ... there IS a product called the Trophy TRS-25 Red dot ... equipped only with a fixed low mount.
I was looking only at the Cabelas.ca website ... which uses "different" nomenclature ...

The bushnell trs25 is the ultimate cheapo red dot.. had one for years and never skips a beat. For the price you can't go wrong. if you upgrade to something else it's always nice to have a spare.. they seem to find a home somewhere. Another couple options on a lightweight .22 to consider would be an RMR with whatever mount suits you or even the aimpoint acro is pretty nice on a lightweight compact .22 build

^I was closing-in on a Holosun, and was fortunate enough to be able to do a side-by-side comparison between it, and a TRS-25. I'm about 50% sure my eyes won't let me use ANY red dot, as both reticles looked a bit fuzzy to me. However, the glass quality was substantially better on the Holosun, and features like the solar panels and "shake awake" switch function are both very appealing. Re: glass quality-some might argue that doesn't matter on a red dot, but looking through both...the difference is dramatic.

You're also missing the part where one of those items is on sale at Cabelas while the other isn't, which easily explains any price difference.

It is a discontinued model but I believe that it is still an awesome deal. Two bases and a shim make for four possible mounting heights. Tethered caps. The dot is a crisp 2 MOA. Auto shut-off after 12 hours. It comes (naturally) with the well-regarded no hassle Vortex Lifetime Warranty.
This is an older but very proven model (see the date on the Youtube video) and not newer the AR-specific Sparc.

Not the case.
Looking through it, regardless of the intensity, I quite literally saw 3 Chevrons, 2 touching/overlapping..one on her own. lol Dots below looked like one laser/red smear. This is with the naked eye, the way I use my scopes. (without issue). I asked my teenage son to look through it, asked if the reticle was clear...it said it looked perfect. Not sure what made me look, but I put my glasses on...and voila! Reticle is about 95% clear. WHEW! lol
Glad I checked, and I'm stoked to get this little baby zeroed.

Standard rifle scopes have adjustable focus so you can make it work without glasses in many instances. That's not the case for red dots as you obviously discovered.
