First off thanks to the members of CGN, without your help this refinish would not have been possible.
So the story
My wife bought me a 2009 polytech M305 for Christmas.
I started looking around for a Wood stock to replace the poly stock that comes with it.
I found a couple places out of the state, and hoped i would find someone in Canada so i threw up a WTB.
A really cool CGN'er Named TGC answered my ad and offered me for the cost of shipping a M14 wood stock (older and needing refinishing). I happily excepted, as anything worth doing takes some work.
It got here and here is what it looked like when it showed up.
It got here and i started off by getting some advice by some of the CGN'ers on how to refinish the stock. It took 2 attempts LOL! First attempt was a resounding failure lol. Hey give me a break it was my first try.
second try came out much better, here are the finished photos.
