Reliable Gun Massive Sale PRICE LIST!

Started lining up at 5:45 and by the time I got in at 930ish, the 22LR buckets were gone. Wasn't out there but they had cases of 7.62x54Rs so snagged some amongst some other goodies.

Didn't really have anything in mind to buy, just there for the company.

Thanks Reliable for making it a pretty orderly process....oh and for the T shirt as well!

A sale like this is a joke unless you live there. All this does is piss off guys like me so that I intentionally shop somewhere else. Make equal opportunity for everyone or don't have a sale.
It was people like the ones you see lining up in rain that have been shopping at Reliable for all the years before online sales that kept them in buisness until today, people like you comes and go and plentiful.

Got there at 7:30 and got in by 11:30. 9mm 115 gr AE was all sold by that time, but plenty of 124gr left when I left at 12.

Thanks Reliable!

Thanks for the update. Exactly what I was hoping to read.

Exactly. They made it this far without him and no signs of slowing down.

I saw the lineup and decided that if I went home I could save 100% instead of 20%. Called Iin at another store on the way home and asked if they'd match Reliable. They did - and no lineup. Happy!

This here is a smart man. The prices aren't fantastic or anything. A few items are noteworthy. It's good for Reliable and I hope the locals fare out well. Nice to hear all the prissy girls come in defense and beat me with their purses. Now sit down.... take a few deep breaths....and count to ten. Ok , now that we are all in our own little quite space.....

That is absolutely right. I find it's sometimes so easy to get caught up in getting the best price sometimes when afterwards you think "I did what to get what!!!

I really commend Reliable Gun for having this sale, I've worked retail for about 5 years, and I know how much effort is involved to put something like this together. I'm not from the area, so I too am waiting for the online sale, which I think kind of sucks, however I do think it's completely fair to give priority to the people who were able to get out there and wait for opening. Another point I don't think the people that are complaining understand is, imagine trying (or at least attempting) to keep the online inventory updated during such a high volume sales period. It's nearly impossible (speaking from experience with electronic sales during Black Friday, Boxing Day etc...). Attempting to keep the website open and inventory updated will only lead to disappointed and unhappy customers when they place an order online, yet the product was just sold in person, leaving Reliable Gun unable to fill the order.

Sales like this show me that the people running Reliable Gun get it. They have some really aggressive sales, and I'm sure there are plenty of items at cost, or potentially even below cost. They are taking a bit of a hit on their profit margins, but making it up in shear volume of sales. What everyone may not understand, is Reliable Gun is earning repeat customers. I am personally more likely to shop at Reliable Gun because they do things like this for the firearms community allowing us Canadians to get products at comparable prices or sometimes better than our neighbours down South.

Coo-dos to you Reliable Gun. You have just earned a long time customer from someone who is relatively new to the gun community. I will be sending many dollars your way over the next while as my collection begins to grow.

You can tell this guy's sitting at home constantly hitting the refresh button on Reliable's site just waiting for the online sale to start.

Congrats Reliable on making it to 65. Tried making the sale today to get a ctar and m&p9, then like others saw the line. I would have waited if not for the kid but c'est la vie. Saves me the wife-ache. Great store, great staff. Hope some inventory is left for the online sale.

Got in line just before 8am when it was already far around the corner and down the residential block. Got into the shop sometime around 11:30 or so. All the cheap .22 ammo was long gone. Grabbed the last Elite 6500 with doa reticle and a couple of cases of 9mm(Fiocchi 115gr and AE 124gr).

Kudo's to the folks at reliable for arranging with the coffee shop on the corner to have free coffee available for anyone in the line. Also, some of the children of the Reliable folks made multiple trips down the lineup with boxes of doughnuts(I had to pass, but it was a nice gesture). Some of the folks in the lineup were talking about a specialty beef jerky shop at the other end of the block that had been featured on Dragon's den so I stepped out of line around 10:30am and bought a bag of their tasty treats to share with the lineup mates standing next to me and my buddy(He's the guy who conned me into standing in the rain for 3.5 hours, I never would have done this on my own).

All-in-all, it was worth it for the >$500 savings on the scope. But, I most likely won't do this again next year(I say that now, but I can see myself forgetting about the discomfort and being talked into the social aspect of standing around with a bunch of fellow gun nuts again. And I thought peer pressure would be a thing of the past by the time I hit middle age...).

Don't get me wrong. Kudos to Reliable. I have shopped there many times and I have exchanged plenty of paper for wood and steel. I just don't do line ups.
Look forward to shopping there in future when I can park and walk through the front door. Good bunch of guys.
I guess my local range is going to be busy tomorrow. I'll give that a miss as well :)
