Reliable Gun Massive Sale PRICE LIST!

I drove by just over an hour ago and the line was to the end of the block and it's pouring rain... I don't really 'need' anything so nuts to that!

I had a few friends there early before opening that scored some good deals, and if I wasn't working this morning I'd have probably joined them just for the fun of it. Next time...

Got in line just before 8am when it was already far around the corner and down the residential block. Got into the shop sometime around 11:30 or so. All the cheap .22 ammo was long gone. Grabbed the last Elite 6500 with doa reticle and a couple of cases of 9mm(Fiocchi 115gr and AE 124gr).

Kudo's to the folks at reliable for arranging with the coffee shop on the corner to have free coffee available for anyone in the line. Also, some of the children of the Reliable folks made multiple trips down the lineup with boxes of doughnuts(I had to pass, but it was a nice gesture). Some of the folks in the lineup were talking about a specialty beef jerky shop at the other end of the block that had been featured on Dragon's den so I stepped out of line around 10:30am and bought a bag of their tasty treats to share with the lineup mates standing next to me and my buddy(He's the guy who conned me into standing in the rain for 3.5 hours, I never would have done this on my own).

All-in-all, it was worth it for the >$500 savings on the scope. But, I most likely won't do this again next year(I say that now, but I can see myself forgetting about the discomfort and being talked into the social aspect of standing around with a bunch of fellow gun nuts again. And I thought peer pressure would be a thing of the past by the time I hit middle age...).

Lol you must have been right behind me in line cause I overheard that convo too.

So for the first time ever Reliable extends their sale to include online and do people appreciate it? Not from all the whining I am seeing. The "me first" and sense of entitlement really shows with some of the posts here.

Had it only been cold like last year I might have overnighted it again but the rain and cold? No thanks, congratulations to those dedicated enough to tough it out :)

i am excited for the online sale...hopefully what I want is still available :)

It makes total sense to have the in person sale first, you can sell out online much faster than you can in person. I see no problem with rewarding the people who come out to buy

Normally there is no line or a very short one by this time. Must be a lot of people, I am surprised, I thought the rain would have kept more home.

Dang I think I broke their timer on their web page hitting refresh so any times hoping that it will somehow let me in and place an order. Says 99 days and 23 hours till the sale starts now

I really commend Reliable Gun for having this sale, I've worked retail for about 5 years, and I know how much effort is involved to put something like this together. I'm not from the area, so I too am waiting for the online sale, which I think kind of sucks, however I do think it's completely fair to give priority to the people who were able to get out there and wait for opening. Another point I don't think the people that are complaining understand is, imagine trying (or at least attempting) to keep the online inventory updated during such a high volume sales period. It's nearly impossible (speaking from experience with electronic sales during Black Friday, Boxing Day etc...). Attempting to keep the website open and inventory updated will only lead to disappointed and unhappy customers when they place an order online, yet the product was just sold in person, leaving Reliable Gun unable to fill the order.

Sales like this show me that the people running Reliable Gun get it. They have some really aggressive sales, and I'm sure there are plenty of items at cost, or potentially even below cost. They are taking a bit of a hit on their profit margins, but making it up in shear volume of sales. What everyone may not understand, is Reliable Gun is earning repeat customers. I am personally more likely to shop at Reliable Gun because they do things like this for the firearms community allowing us Canadians to get products at comparable prices or sometimes better than our neighbours down South.

Coo-dos to you Reliable Gun. You have just earned a long time customer from someone who is relatively new to the gun community. I will be sending many dollars your way over the next while as my collection begins to grow.

I don't think you get it.

Just got back from there. Picked up ammo, but boy a lot of people were shopping for firearms! A big thank you goes to Reliable for having this sale. They had hotdogs in the store and everyone was polite even though the store was packed!

I was there at 7 and the lineup was already around the corner into the neighbourhood. Almost four hours of waiting lol. I had good company, though, and made a few more friends. Wish my boots held up to the constant drizzle (next sale: shoe store?). Once inside, though, it was run very well. Lots of people helping you and the only lineup was to pay. Picked up a shotgun and my friend got two rifles. Of course had to pick up ammo, as well. All and all I have to commend Reliable for putting together an event. To think that people camp out like that for bloody videogames. Really. That should put things into perspective.
