I like Berger bullets, CCI 450 primers, and H4895 powder.

Fire formed brass, Lee collet NS die, CCI 450, Near max. H4895, Sierra 39 Blitz-King, Tikka T3 Varmint, 1/4" 5 shot groups if you do your part. Benchmark just as good but gives up a little velocity.

Sounds good was going to start with 39gr sbk and 8208 or benchmark. Anyone ever load some 26gr Barnes varmint granades?? I'm also shooting a tikka t3 varmint.

Tikka and CZ love the 40gr V MAX
My 527 prefers benchmark @ 27.3..

The barnes shot well also.. sure pops the gophers hard.

Forgot to mention 40 V-Max gives very close to same performance as 39 BK. Have shot lots of both and though the 40 VM is close, the 39 BK has a definite slight edge, but are very hard to find and a lot more $$ than the Hornadys.

What are you planing on shooting? Paper or fur. H4895, CFE 223 IMR 8208 all work very well for me. CCI 450 primers, 35 and 40gr Bergers have killed well over 1000 coyotes for me over the years, anywhere from 10ft to 450yds . 40gr Vmax with CFE 223 at gophers out to 300yd is easily doable on good days with my Cooper Model 51

Mostly going to shoot coyotes and magpies. I have been shooting the 40gr vmax forever seems to do what I want so far. Thanks for the suggestions probably going to start with some sbk's and see where that gets me.

I use a 35 grain Berger varmint Match and 1/2 over max of Benchmark by the Hodgdon data in Nosler ;)brass.205 Match primers. Cases were smokey with lighter loads though they did shoot. Custom 700 short built by Ted Gaillard.

I could tell you how it shoots but you wouldn’t believe me anyway. Hell I wouldn’t.;)

I use 8208 in my 20 cal wildcat pushing 40 and 55 grain Bergers with Remington 7 1/2 primers. Have also used H4198 and experimenting (if I ever get to the range) with Varget and RL 7

What make of rifle has a barrel with a twist fast enough to stabilise a55 gr. bullet?

Remington 700 with a custom (Bob Jury) barrel, 8 twist. Drawback is I can't shoot anything less than 40 grains. They spin too fast and blow up or keyhole, no accuracy at all.

I mainly use 40gr Vmax over CFE223 and have just started playing with 39gr Sierra BK over AR Comp & StaBALL Match in a T3x Lite

Nosler brass and CCI450
