I have borrowed a Rem 770 in 243, and it works and shoots decent.
But it feels so cheap and plasticy it irks me. Last month I was out hunting on my snowmobile and it was not very bumpy, but the top swivel came right out of the plastic. It wasn't the screw that came undone, but a piece of plastic that just chipped off the stock itself.
I don't mean to be a snob, but the gun is not worth the money. And since I borrowed it I wanted to get a new aftermarket stock for it.
So I googled, and found out that the Rem 770 can't be aftermarket altered easily when it comes to the stock. So epoxy it is....
