REM 870 barrels 12GA

More details what you're thinking? I have an 870 I'd be interested in a longer barrel to shoot trap with, and being threaded for Remchokes. Is that at all what you had in mind, or we talking shorter slug barrels only?

Likly not short barrles to start.
Looking in the 6 to 18 inch range.

Also the shorter barrel versions need a bead on a pedestal and so that they shoot to point of aim ...

All short barrels that have only a little bead ... they all shoot high ... :-(
Pedestal with raised bead that you can install different sizes of bead or fiber optic?

Iron sights could happen, the issues is cost.
We have been looking at possibly Williams fiber optic shotgun iron sights.
Or were you thinking something that is closer to to what Remington uses ?
I was thinking along the lines of what comes on the factory police models

I'm happy with a bead sight, I have a rem 14" but a 16" threaded and a bead sight would be alright with me too.

This, but fixed it...

3.5" chamber...give us options! ;)

If you're set up to counterbore forcing cones and port a-la Vang Comp, you know they'll sell.
I think once things start moving, having options like that are defently possible.
I don't want to sticker shock people by offering all the options on one bbl out the gate with it costing more than the gun it goes on

My brain says 14" cylinder bore, ported with Vang type treatment, pedestal bead, and 16", 18" slug gun barrels with rifle sights. Choke tubes for shot options.

The hard news is, I think it has to be in the $400-$500...maybe $600 price range, retail. Any more than that, and guys just start looking to Turkish garbage for a whole shortie.

Personally, I'd prefer a copy of the "Police" barrel, albeit in 14" or 16" length, cerakoted and with the threaded choke option.

A steel bead sight or small rifle sight is a must for those who don't run optics on a scatter gun, which is most people. No plastic fiber-optic sights though, those have Turkish Mall Ninja shotgun looks and just don't inspire confidence. Plastic = cheap garbage.
