Just bought a mint Wingmaster last week for $225. Sold the stock for $75 and the barrel for $100. Bought an unfired slug barrel for $80 (I prefer irons to ghost rings although I have both) and got one of the last wood police stock sets from Numerich for $75 shipped. Epps had Remington metal plus two extensions for $50 (I notice they are up in price now). So do the math. Receiver $50 Barrel $80 Stock $75 Extension $50. Thats $255 total. I ported the barrel at work this week and am going to teflon the whole works in the next week or so. Everybody oohs and aahs about the 870 p, yet there are wingmasters that are 40 even 50 yrs old and have had thousands of rounds thru them and are still chugging away. they just don't quit. Wingmasters come up on the EE almost every week, you just have to be quick. They are the best value you are going to get. You part out what you don't want and build it the way you want it, and the best thing is that the parts from a 50 yr old wingmaster fit the new ones and vice versa.
So with a full length mag tube you can't use any other 870 barrel?
Doubtful, that poster probably doesn't know what he's talking about...
Thanks for pictures! That confirms that it isn't quite what was shown at the Shot Show or what I keep seeing all over Google. But it should be fun to say the least.
