Rem. 870 Wingmaster d.o.m and value

All the trader rating guys of o or 1 are telling me I'm out to lunch. Like I said not 3'' not vent rib not altered for steel shot, not a trap gun . 318 views still for sale yes everyone is pulling there money out to buy up this bargain oh yes plus the views on the Manitoba site,

New one is 800 plus and taxes as you know, yes they may have choke tubes but not the gun this one is. A site sponser listed three vintage at 385 plus tax, plus shipping a couple days ago and one is gone already.
Look at it this way the complete receiver 200 min, stock set mint 100, barrel 100. It's 400 min in parts.
As you know old wingmasters are hot in the past few years and in demand especially mint ones. getting like land it seems they are not making any more like the vintage ones and most coming up for sale are trash. However just one man's opinion and I have been wrong many times before.:)

It will also need the ejector changed to be able to cycle 3" shells.

Maybe but I don't think so on this one. Remington started using all 3" ejectors on even 2 3/4" guns just before this one was made. That is why you hear guys say they put a express barrel on their old wingmaster and it shoots 3" just fine. Unfortunately remington doesn't know what serial number this was started at plus I have seen older receivers on newer guns.
So other than seeing what is in it now or trying it I cannot tell. If I was betting I would say 80% it is already installed.take care

Not all the Wingmasters are worth a pile of money.
I have bought 9 in the last year, and the prices varied, for sure....

Like I said earlier that gun in that condition is worth 400 in parts, yes not all are worth a pile of money but nice clean ones produce a fair dollar. Yes like you I have paid as low as 50 and as high as 850 pending what it is
I am suprised you only bought 9 this year must be a slow time Cat time to get some more:p I picked up two more last week for the herd.
I only need two more for the set a large frame 20ga skeet and a factory 16ga skeet and yes they made the 16ga. Fun is finding them

HAA I did that about 7 years ago the trim down but it is a sickness as you know and hard to stop buying especially when I just seen another 28ga. OH Boy take care:)

It is a standard grade 1st design about 20 years older. Condition?? to hard to see in their pics

I didn't realize I would cause such strong views on a simple value question! Sounds like someone is actually trying to kabosh my sale and is wringing there hands in glee that my shotgun hasn't sold yet.
 
412 views and still going strong Yes that's it somebody is trying to kibosh your sale . what was that you said something about not being born yesterday. Apparently there are many buys out there that were not born yesterday.
 
Congratulations 500 views and still for sale while a view wingmasters have come and gone ,and now you specifically point your finger at me "'You recognize yourself '' that's the best you can come up with i didn't realize i had such a effect on the buying public. Well Mr 0 rating your rating well stay at that number for a long time with your attitude and approach to selling on a public site.

Good to know. I'll do a barrel swap on one of my old ones and try that theory out. Maybe I'll save a few bucks on a conversion.
