REM arms discontinue 870 Express and Wingmaster!

Looks the same as the express. Don’t you have one?

Mine is some kind of 870 SP Tactical or something? I cannot recall and I threw out the box so can't check the tag on the end. It's definitely a matte finish that looks like bluing on an unfinished metal surface. Oh and it's walnut stocks. That's the reason I chose it as the others were plastic.

I'm done I cannot explain it any clearer unless it get my wife involved who teaches primary. The goating by you guys ends here .
take care

Huh?? I'm trying to clarify what you have said. You wrote these things... I'm simply reading them and asked a question. Your reply insinuates we are all just stupid. You've done a very good job creating doubt as to the authenticity of the gun... now you insult those who ask for clarity.

Sorry internet communication is not a strong point for me and I have explained the best I can

I bought one of the last wingmasters .... and it came with a light contour barrel chambered for 3 1/2 inch shells.
Even though the receiver can only handle 3 inch ones ...

Then you got something made up at the gun shop
The 3 1/2 blued wingmaster barrels came on 3 1/2 receivers factory and were a very limited run. Replacement barrels were for all three shot shell sizes and stamped as such for the last number of years

Cheers

No ... from the factory ... a shop can't just make up a 200th Anniversary Limited Edition ... ;-)

No but they can sure put a new replacement barrel on one.

The 200th guns were an express with a 28" 3" barrel and the wingmaster was a 26" 3"

Think about what you are saying. The factory supplied a barrel capable of firing 3 1/2" shells on a receiver designed for only 3"
NOPE they had enough court cases for other mistakes

Cheers

3macs1, lets recap what you said:

1.) First, you said that Remington would not ship a 3 1/2" barrel with a 3" 870 Receiver and because of legal liability.

2.) Then you said that my barrel was swapped at the dealer/shop.

3.) And when I posted pictures of the actual gun and barrel you got all hung up on the engraving on the barrel and Photoshopped pictures that are floating around on the internet.

3macs1, own your mistakes .... and stop tip toeing around all the b##### ....

To be honest, I can't believe anything any more that you are posting on here .... because it is all made up %^$%^*^$@#$@!$^#&%^ ....

I will make you a promise and I keep them. It is yours when it goes and it will be this year since I am not greasing it all up again and putting it away again . More than likely august when one of the girls goes back to university and needs book money or what ever
Take care

Too bad it doesn't have a nice polished blue finish to complement the wood. The new Fieldmaster looks like it's cerakoted or some kind of sprayed on/baked on finish? You can see when you zoom in the finish has a truck bed liner look to it.

I did not have to zoom to see that mess.

The marines are there listed. You can bet they will still make the police but only for law enforcement orders not the general public IMHO
Cheers

I certainly hope that that is not the case. It would not surprise me if the majority of the Police models were being sold commercially prior the bankruptcy. Most of their focus seemed to be on tacticool stuff and it seemed to be selling quite well. Just look how the Tac-14 took off.

It also wouldn’t surprise me if they sold more Police than Wingmaster.

I was always confused as to why people were shelling out $700 + for the latest Tactical Express models when you could get a brand new Police, with a much more durable finish, for the same price.

Nice walnut on this new field master

The one shown on that site looks like an Express that was bead blasted by a doper. The poly sprayed wood be orange peel city.Uggh! :puke:
Fookin' thing must be a pre-production unit that got shipped out by mistake.

Now look at the Fieldmaster in this review. A much nicer product. Should be interesting to check one out personally when they arrive up here.
