Rem M7 BUILD

I have installed lots of Benchmarks and a few IBI... and the IBI dialed up in the lather just as good or better... they appear to be top quality.

I have thought about a lightweight build for awhile now... mine would be on a Model 7 or a 700 ADL chambered for the 6.5x47 Lapua.

Benchmark now is making CUT Rifled barrels too - Bartlein are High on quality too - Pac Nor is out now that there Factory just burnt down ! SAD ! RJ

I have a couple 7's with Timneys in them - My New M7 6.5 Ultra Light has a Calvin Elite in it - Very Nice ! I wish Trigger Tech made one - RJ

I've had good luck with JC barrels. Have one on a 308 and another in 280 and another in 6mm CM in the works. Both the 308 and 280 are quite accurate and JC is vg to deal with.

I have a JC barrel on my .22-250, 1:9 twist, 24". Not a lightweight but flings 75gr HPBT nicely...

I do have a JC barrel on my new Ultra Light in 6.5 caliber 1-8 and it shoots good - i just like to try diff brands of STUFF - BUT hes not out a Sale Yet ! RJ

Yea I was thinkin that too - 6.5 PRC is WAY to long for 2.8 box even with some mods its a reach . Industry std is 2.955 COAL

Not possible, which is no problem as it gets fed 140gr NBT and Accubond seated to 2.82", works good.

PRC holds plenty of RL26 to push the 140's @ 2995 fps from the 22.5" barrel. Double checked notes and its .123" off lands @ the 2.815" OAL

It's my buddies rifle and he will only shoot Accubonds, the rifle will never see an ELD or factory load

Well Hes Right ! The Accubond is a Far SUPERIOR bullet to the ELDX or M for Hunting !

What contour is that fluted Barrel ? RJ

I don't have any input on the caliber, but I think your choice of optics is bang on for the application. I have the same scope on a lightweight rifle and I think its about the best you can get for a high quality lightweight medium-range scope.
