I have a Rem 600 - .308 Win that is making me mildly mad.
Sent it to Remington for the safety recall. Now the bolt will open with safety on, as well as no accidental discharge concerns. All good. However.....
Since the safety work was done..... Fire 1 shot..OK. 2 Shots ...OK, but fire 3 shots in succession, such as shooting off the bags, and the bolt will not open.
Seems that if it warms up, it sticks. And I do mean sticks.. we are talking rubber mallet stuff here.
Low pressure reloads, Factory - 3 different brands, doesn't seem to matter.
No pressure signs whatsoever on any of the fired cases. Even the stuck ones.
Remington service center says - not our problem, as we just did the safety work. They did volunteer to polish the chamber as a possible fix without even examining the gun. At my expense of course.
Any ideas/ comments/ suggestions???????
