Anyone know what the cost should be to rechamber in 223?
I have a 600 .222 barrel, rechambered to .223.
It will NOT shoot 5.56 55gr ball. The bullets do not stabilize properly. It is very accurate with .223 sporting ammunition to 55gr.

Possibly. I've not measured it. The 1-14 in the early ARs would shoot 55gr ball in warm weather; failed during cold weather testing.
I saw the ad and lol'd. I was actually going to make an offer on this rifle, but if he wants 800 I don't think a reasonable offer would be looked at.
Wow guys, take it easy. My research showed a Mohawk in 308 just sold for $750. A private message to that seller indicated that the 222 is more valuable and rare. So I think if there is any interest in this firearm you should be making offers not offenses.
1978 would be the last year of producrion of the second run of these little rifles.first run of production was 1964 to 67.first run was produced with the plastic vent rib.FYI
It was manufactured in 1978.
