Remington 600 Mohawk in 222 cal.

when researching pricing u go to 2or 3 different sites and go to the completed listings which shows the price the firearm sold for asking price is meaningless and does not reflect market value all that list prices do is reflect the fact that sellers do not no how to accurately evaluate prices or are justing fishing for the impulse buyer

You do understand that these guns are STILL for sale???
The ones that sell are between $400- $500.
I can post my 870 wingmaster for $1200, doesn't mean its worth that much.
But, like i said before, GOOD LUCK.

If the prestine condition Rem 600 was priced at 400.00 to 500.00 it would be SOLD! GONE! I would have bought it as well as 15 other Gunnuters.
I think 600.00 is better priced and remember you dont see these available all that often. Also remember the market in the States is alot different
than ours here in Canada.

Happy Hunting. We all need to be a little nicer to our fellow Gunnuters. Show a little love!...
Have a nice day!
Bob

Here's one reason why it's tough to get that much for a 600 in any caliber.
http://www.remington.com/product-families/firearms/centerfire-families/bolt-action-model-seven.aspx
The Model Seven is a better rifle in pretty much every way.
It has a floorplate and a real bolt release and a better shaped bolt handle. An earlier Model Seven with the schnabel fore-end walnut stock is a great little rilfe in varmint calibers.
I've owned three or four 600/660's over the years.
They are kind of like 788's,....they have a certain cult like appeal to some. Seems like guys either love them or hate them.

Well said.
I agree 100% on the model 7 being a better made rifle. Although if you are one of those guys with the certain cult like appeal for the Rem 600
what would one pay for a prestine condition 600 in 222. Remember, The 222 for sale on here is missing the sights....so it's almost prestine ..LOL!

Have you ever purchased anything on Gunnutz....?

I am not sure why that is relevant, especially to what I said. My post was to clarify why I said 800 vs 795, if something is offered at 995 or 999 from a business or an individual some people tend to think "it is only 9 something", its a marketing ploy. I was simply stating that to me it is still 1,000.

But to answer your question, yes, a few times. Sometimes I have had another member purchase for me as a lack of trader rating is frowned upon by some.

Lots of people on here use in thier own marketing ploys.
I look at it this way. If a guy is over priced, rifle may sit stagnant......Although you may be surprised when it sells for a little less than his asking price.
There is a Sako i want on here for 2000.00 but i think its overpriced. Its been on here for 9 months.LOL! Made a offer and pissed the guy off 1700.00
I was thinking of making an offer on the 600 .222.....LOL! No hard feelings, iether way sorry for the jab although hard to judge with a 0 trader rating. Come on get her done by yourself. I will deal with you.LOL!
Have a good one.
Tikka

There are way too many items on the EE right now that I would buy in a heartbeat, but back surgery has put me in a tight spot financially so they will have to wait.

No worries Tikka, no offence taken. Lack of trader rating tends to make people cautious, understandably so.

Ren 600 222

Bob,
Thanks for agreeing with me. Very nice of you.

No problem guido,
I sent a pm to the owner, seems to be a nice guy. I was thinking of buying it. If it had the sights i would pay 600.00
being that it has no sights its maybe worth 550.00 It looks in really nice condition and would look great beside my other 600 on 308.
The owner seems a little flexable and willing to talk. Im waiting on another sale before i get off my wallet. What do you think it's worth?

Bob
