I’ve got a older Remington 700 in 30-06 with a hinged base magazine and I’d like to convert it to a detachable magazine, Is there a factory mag system I can use? Or is aftermarket my only options, I’d prefer metal and flush mount but I’m not picky
Any information is appreciated
( I’ve heard of kwik klip but I’ve never seen one for sale anywhere)

I do not know where you could get Kwik Klips today, but I can tell you that I have used several of them over the years and they have all fit great, easy to install and function perfectly.

I have not tried it but suspect if you obtained a stock with factory mag you may be able to convert to factory that way. From my perspective kwik clip is the easiest and least expensive solution.

I have a Kwik Klip for a long action here I can part with. PM if interested.

All options other than a kk involve buying complete stock assembly’s no other options the msgs all lock into a latch attached to the the stock
Keep the floor plate a much better system

The factory DM action has the feed rails removed, but the factory DM stock and floorplate will work fine with a standard BDL action. I had McMillan inlet a stock for the factory DM , and using the DM floorplate, I used my standard BDL action.
