Picked this up on the weekend basicLy nib 25" rem choke . Being a model 12 shooter I hope I don't have some weird reaction to this shotgun .seems to feel and swing effortlessly I will have to give it a try on barn yard piegeons and some Huns.

About time you picked up a quality shotgun :)
Those 28ga wingmasters are sweet especially the ones with the choke tubes. If you have not shot one stopping the gun may be the only issue if you have not been raised on these light guns with the 25" barrel back in the day. All of mine I fitted the mag tube nut weight on which helps
It is my go to gun in 28ga and I have quite a few 28ga to select from including a model 12 winchester original and two of the browning repos but take the wingmaster just about every time I go shooting the 28ga
In fact even bought a trap barrel ( started as a full choke and had briley do some work to it) for one of my 28ga wingmasters and nothing nicer than kicking some ass on the 16 with it vs those holding those so called 12ga quality guns
Yes sir all I hear is oh f'k here he is with that dam squirrel gun again :)
Enjoy it
Cheers

I'm quite adaptable starting shooting trap at the age of 14 and was a farm boy before that with a 20 ga Cooey that was used for everything from gophers to geese .love my shotguns I did have a browning model 12 28 ga.for a while didn't like the feel of it compared to the originals. It will be a fun gun for sure

Barn Yard Pideon are a tough bird to kill or they where in my limited experience.
Nothing like a challenge though and have you given any thought to the ammo choice for said quarry ?
Mine hasnt been out of the safe for a bit, think it needs to go for a walk.
Good Hunting struff55.

They sure help slowing the swing down. I think you can fit about 2 oz, of rolled sheet lead inside for a more dramatic effect. I have one such fitted to my 26" 16 gauge VR with polychoke. I don't use it much now. the A5 20 is all I need(and can carry for very long).

I have a Remington 870 28 gauge but mine is just the express model and not the wingmaster.

Still a good little chicken gun.:d

Nothing wrong with a 28ga express. It seemed remington didnot screw up the smaller gauges like 28 and 410 when they made express and they work just fine like the first 1987 to maybe 92 runs of 12ga did
Cheers

As much as I dont like being number 13 when posting, but I agree 3macs, very good period in manufacturing time....
To bad the Sportsman's models didnt hang around longer.

I had the 28 gauge express but didn’t keep it long because the rib wasn’t straight and bothered me evytime I picked it up. Would love a 28 gauge wingmaster to go along with my .410

For now the single shot Remington 812 in 28 gauge will have to do the trick

Wingmaster .....yes /Express..............no/I use a mint Cooey 840 28"full choke great 40 yard gun........some day a Beretta O+U

Why no on the 28ga express, quality issues ??? Mine is fine as are others I have seen and they are nothing like the 12ga express that were made after 92. The post above with a bent rib?? could be on anything
Or you just want a wingmaster??
Cheers
