Remington 870 Wingmaster

Yeah I would just wait and browse the EE you could even put up a want to buy ad. They do come up quite often and for much cheaper then 1000$
Cheers and good luck.

I bought an old wingmaster for $220 several months ago. Sold the full choke barrel and bought a brand new barrel from dlask for $160 that takes removable chokes. Also picked up a used 14inch barrel from theammosource for $100. Its the way to go in my opinion.

This topic comes up quite regularly. Yes, you can put a 3 inch barrel on an older Wingmaster. However, the ejector may, or may not allow the ejection of the 3 inch shell. Yes, it is also possible to retrofit a 3 inch ejector, but this typically requires the services of a competent gunsmith.

i had an Express sold it after about 10 years - sure it had it's quirks but after i threw a couple hundred bucks at it - it became reliable - bought a 1967 Wingmaster receiver and dressed it up with modern looking wood furniture and a 28 inch barrel - you can not beat the way the old girls cycles

For those that suggested I buy a new version they are not listed at Cabelas, Italian Sporting Goods, Reliable Gun and Elwood Epps. Still no idea of even the price. So I have a 60s version Wingmaster on its way to me. It will do just fine I think. Worked well for me in the 60s so should be fine now. Thanks for all the input.

Check Del Selins in Vernon, I traded in my old wingmaster there a
few weeks ago. It might be sold by now but...

Got what looks to be a nice used one coming in a few days. 2-3/4in but that always worked in the past. So easy to mod. I can put a 3in barrel on it and use it single shot too. Sooo many available mods for this shottie. Really looking forward. Apparently even the Express barrels will fit. Woo hoo.
