Remington 870 woes...

Yeah its such a shame..

I bought a Remington 870 Marine Magnum back in April and been to range several times to shoot skeets..no modifications or anything

The 2 weeks ago the gun just fell apart after fired the shell and they said because lock ring wasn't securely tighted up lol..and they can only repair it.

Im new here so if I can post a video..i will definitely share with you guys hah

I already called the store where I bought it as that was my first thought... just give me another one... no such luck. Apparently as soon as you buy a gun, at least with them anyway, it now becomes a warranty issue not an exchange.

I wish these gun stores would adopt the Canadian Tire return policy as it sure would make buying a defective gun less painful. Oh the good 'ol days when Canadian Tire sold guns :D

Why doesn't the gunstore of where you purchased the 870 not inspecting this guns before they are sold?

I agree and I had that conversation with the fella for him to give it a good look over before shipping it. The problem is most people don't look inside the mag tube, which was the main issue I had.

I don't find the shops today check anything. I bought a 870 this past spring from one of the largest shops in canada and a site member and the ejector was totally missing ( just two rivits looking at me)meaning besides the obvious the entire barrel was twisting side to side when it was shouldered or handled.
He said sorry we are so busy we cannot check everything. As soon as I tried to pull it out of the box and it was obvious. I ended up fixing it here and they supplied the parts
