I am interested in hearing from anyone who has first hand experience with this particular rifle, like build quality, fit/finish, recoil and accuracy. I own a 350 mag in the classic but was wondering what these tiny little model 7s are like?
I recently acquired a Remington 673 in .350 mag with the Model 7 action. Light, handy, shoots well (the most 'stout' caliber I own mind you, not for the feint of heart), but IMO the open sights are all but useless for anything beyond 50 yards and even that could be pushing it. I intended to keep this as an open sight rifle, but I now realize this is not very suitable for my feeble eyes at least. Any suggestions for scoping this gun?
I'm obviously not in the same spending bracket as some, so I went for the VX-1 in 1-4x20. I like the short tube (and eye relief as mentioned) and the fact the parallax is adjusted at 75 yards. I never shoot anything beyond 50 to 75 yards! Thanks guys.
Yes, I know, it's a muzzle loader/shotgun scope. I don't see any problems with this...
