Hey guys. So as I go through the EE I see so few Model 7's. I really like them and am wondering why I see so few of them around. Is there a strong following? Is it the black sheep of the Remington family? Is there any love for this rifle?

All I know is that I really like mine. It's a 80's CDL in .308 Win. It has fiber optic front and rear sights, and EGW scope rail and Leupold QRW rings with a Bushnell 4200 3-9x40 although I am considering moving to a 1-4 power scope.. Its a really nice rig. Looks a little odd but is 100% about function.

I would love to see some of your setups and hear about your Model 7.

I have too many model 7s................

Here's my 3 Custom shop Model 7 MS...........243, 7-08 and my 350 RM

Then there is my 350 RM Model 7 KS

This is the only photo of my Model 7 CDL 260 Rem but in a Remington Synthetic stock, together with my 350 KS

I have one more in 358 Win, same model as yours, just no photos at this time.

Sighted in a Model 7 this weekend. I can understand that previous owner put on fiberoptic sights, assuming the originals were replaced. The one I used had V-Notch rear sight and front was post and bead. Bead was painted white. Let's just say it will take some practice to get a good sight picture.

I may even suggest to replace with fiber optic versions.

Great handling little rifle all the same.

I think you don't see them on the EE that often is because their owner's really love them. I have a stainless synthetic in 7mm-08 and love it.

I also have a newly acquired Stainless Synthetic Model Seven in 7mm08 and worked up an MOA load for it. It is my first hunting rifle for my fist hunt which will be just after thanksgiving. My only gripe so far is I find the trigger a little heavy, but for a hunting rifle that may be an asset, we will see. I like it so far.

I do love those full stock offerings.

Oh ya, now that Buckmastr mentioned it I have another one in 223, blued/syn I bought for a donor for my 23 Pipsqueak............no pics of that one either..........that would make seven I guess......

There where a few stainless/camo stock versions up here awhile back. I should have pulled the trigger when I had the chance. I really like these little rifles.

708, gunkoted, McMillan KS pattern stock, shortened shroud, timney, talley extra low rings, leupold 1.75-6 shorty
